What does learning at Utopia?
Student – fun, really good, because, not many sheets, making stuff, they make it fun, I get to use the computer and other cool stuff, I understand what my teacher is saying, it is ok to ask questions, we work in groups, my teacher always lets me know how I’m going and how to improve, I get to choose the way I do things, I get use multiple intelligences, synthesise – blooms, apply learning to the real world
Teacher – differentiated, informed, evidence based, data driven, relevant in the real world, collaborative, flexible, feedback, distributed leadership, fun, action research based, personalised
Parent – my child is happy, my child is excited and looks forward to school, I feel welcome in the classroom, my child talks about school, my child shows me examples of what they are learning, dinner time discussion, 3 way conference, lots of work is displayed, energy, teacher is approachable, link in from older students, past, compare and contrast
